My Eyes are Bigger Than my Stomach

Making our kitchen bigger is one of our main goals for the year. The kids are getting bigger. The hubs and I are tripping over each other. We can't take it any longer.

And this is our dream kitchen. 

An Eviction Notice to Clutter

Dear Kitchen Junk Drawer,

I am writing to inform you that you will not be welcome in this house. This is unfortunate {for you}.
This is your official eviction notice.

We are organized individuals trying to sort out the clutter of life.

You make the clutter double and in some cases triple. All of those paperclips, twist ties, pens without tops, expired coupons and dried out markers need to go.

The saddest wall known to man

My ABC Wall is gone.

All of the letters are sadly sitting on the guest room bed...waiting patiently impatiently to be rehung. 

And now. Now there is a wall.

It is empty, but full of hope.  

And yet I look at it, as I walk by, and all I can think is...

Just Say No to Resolutions... Say Yes to Goals

That is part of one of my all time favorite poems.

It reminds me to slow down a little and enjoy my surroundings, but to also keep focused on my goals.

How {Not} to Make a Gallery Wall

Gallery Walls make me swoon.

I could peruse Pinterest  for gallery walls all day. No joke...I really could.

But there is one gallery wall that just isn't doing it for me.

I think this one needs to go.

Or at least it should be moved to a smaller wall. Or put the letters closer together? Or maybe every letter should be the same color?

It just doesn't feel right anymore. It is so 2011...yes, that is how far behind I am.

What do you think? 

Plans are brewing. Percolating even. And I don't even like coffee.

This weekend those plans will get done. Well, maybe get started?
