My family is just returning from Fall Break! Do you guys have fall break in your school system like we do?
My family and I had a great time. I actually had to go to an Early Childhood Conference for 3 days and then we did a little traveling. We ended up going to Kentucky and stopped by Keeneland and the Woodford Reserve Bourbon distillery. Yes, we took the kids to the race tracks and a bourbon distillery for fall break. (who's shaking their heads?)
Surprisingly, both were very interesting and educational. We had a lot of fun learning about the culture of both the races and the bourbon and seeing the excitement and the passion people have for both.
Before we left for Fall Break we had our first ever family photos taken! Seriously, stop shaking your head! We've had plenty of non-professional family photos done but this is our first professional one. Take a look!
We have a New Guest Host for the next six weeks. Let's give a warm welcome to Laura from The Unique Nest
Hi everyone! My name is Laura LePage Tarlo and I'm the gal behind the "The Unique Nest". On my blog you'll find lots of home decor inspiration, as well as occasional recipes and seasonal ideas. I love taking on a DIY project and re-purposing decor and furnishings in my home. I'm also big on thrifty finds - so you're sure to find some bargains with me! In addition to my blog I run Laura Leigh Designs, LLC – an interior design and decor business in upstate NY. I am also a high school business and finance teacher by day, and have two beautiful little kids that keep me super busy!

Now On to the FEATURES!
I love some Hummus so I think that this recipe would be amazing to try. I am putting this Cajun Roasted Chick Peas recipe on my list of things to try.
I love an original pumpkin idea and I think this DIY Faux Fur covered pumpkin, nailed it!
I love these cute handmade coasters one rustic and one more feminine! They seem pretty easy to make, too!
